73 year-old Nigerian singer, songwriter and actor, Charly Boy, took to Instagram yesterday and called on ‘exceptional’ Nigerian youths to revolt against Nigeria.

The Peter Obi-rabid supporter took his cue from the unrest in France, where there have been some days of riot following the killing of a 17 year-old boy by a policeman.
Charly Boy, whose real name is Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa, now wants the same reaction in Nigeria. He, however, did not state what should be the justification for the violence.
But it could be safely surmised that he is among the Peter Obi supporters still sulking over Obi’s thrashing in the election.
“This isn’t Syria, Iraq or Afghanistan. This is France where 9% of the population has brought down entire cities!”, he said in reference to the raging arson in parts of Paris, a video of which he shared. “Karma from Africa? Am waiting on the exceptional Nigerian Youths to reject a system that let dem down. Una destiny dey una hand”.
In his earlier post before editing it, the musician called Nigeria a criminal enterprise and urged Nigerian youths to bring it down.
However, most of the reactions to his post were one mighty rebuke, right on his Instagram page.
Another commentator, Desanya Maestro, served Charly Boy notice that he could be arrested by security agencies.
